2 days camping on the banks of Padma river
The place was at Godarbazar Ghat in Dhunchi, Rajbari district, on the banks of the river Padma. Open sky, night sky full of stars, fire camp under the stars, a huge open space next to the river Padma, day or night the wind blows, flying lanterns at night. With all this amazing moments, we had arranged a camping a few days ago. I am writing this to share my experience and the moments of those 2 days with you.

It was basically a group camping of 90 people at the departmental level of our university. Since there was a camping at the departmental level and our batch, we also had to plan and manage it. First, we formed a management team in consultation with all the students in the classroom. Basically, the management team had the biggest contribution to make such a beautiful and memorable camping. Because the management team helped to get everything done from start to finish.

At first, a group of 3 of us went to Godarbazar in Rajbari. In our early days, we set up a place on the banks of the Padma, but the place was not suitable for camping because of river erosion. Later, as we were about to leave, we came across a huge open space on the banks of the Padma, which was large enough for 90 people to camp, and its beautiful scenery was memorable.

An empty space on the river bank. After a while, a gust of wind swayed in my mind. Sitting on the shore with that amazing view and a magical feeling, one can pass moment by moment. There was enough space to play in. What else? Seeing such a situation, the place for camping was decided.

Then we all consult together on what can be done. We all set the price of food, tent, toilet, night lighting, decoration, bus fare, etc. at $17.69 USD per person. Then a teacher sent us an invitation to go and he agreed to go.

The management team hired two buses called "Subarna" from the Gabtali bus stand in Dhaka. The fare for two buses for two days was fixed at $613.12 USD. Then I rented 15 big tents for 90 people and 2 big tents to keep things for $353.72 USD from one place in Doarbazar and set up 2 toilets on the river bank. We also inform the DC, SP of the area in advance through a letter recommended by our university teacher for protection so that we can avoid any untoward incident.

We all first gathered on the campus at 8 am. From there I got on the bus. It is said that 70 percent of the pleasure and experience of traveling to a place is found on the way. There is a lot of joy, music, poetry, rhyme, etc. on our journey. But, since we had to cross the river by ferry and the day was Friday, there was a lot of traffic jam at the ferry crossing. We waited for about 2 hours at the same place for the ferry crossing. But through it, we continue to roam the surrounding places. There was a man in the open field planting corn in the sun, we don't have a few corns from him.

There was a large field of sand. Anyway, due to the traffic jam, we crossed the ferry at around 2.30 pm and went to Godarbazar Upazila School next to the destination, washed our hands, and rested for a while. In the meantime, I came to know that the school has been running since that English period. Next to it, I can see a place like an ancient building. I came to know that the place was the barn of the zamindar here during the English period.

The place was so old that its buildings became dilapidated, so we visited the place in groups of three so that we could all go together and do no harm to it. Later I had lunch in an open space next to the head office of Godarbazar Football Association. Then our teacher instructed us to go to the main place.
Going to the main place, first I saw an empty place next to the huge river and its amazing view, I left everything behind and stood in one place for a while to see nature. Then under the direction of the teacher we all formed a group of 5 people and each group started making their own tent from inside the big tent. 5 people together easily made the tent. Then, everyone plays football for a while. At the end of playing Football, we jumped into the river Padma one by one to take a bath.

Then in the evening, we turn on all the lights. At that moment all the places became illuminated. Then we all play different little games, some sing songs and also spend the evening through different stories. In the evening, the DC of the area sent some policemen to provide us protection. They help us a lot by guiding us in different ways.
Another amazing sight to be seen at night. The sky is full of stars. Not a single star is seen in the busyness of the city. But, in a place near Dhaka, the stars are glistening on the river in the sky next to Chad. The scene is bound to attract anyone. Anyway, we ate dinner and went to sleep. Before going to sleep we voluntarily assigned a few of us to voluntarily wake up at night in a few steps to monitor the situation around us for our safety.

There was a net-like canopy over the tent, so I could see the stars in the sky as soon as I went to bed. Does sleep come in such a situation? Yet I fell asleep watching them.
I got up the next morning and had breakfast. We didn't have a chance to cook and eat because there were so many of us. So we talked to a hotel next door for food, so the food always arrived on time. After breakfast, everyone started playing football. Then I played a race called Lungi Karakari. The name sounded funny but the game was a lot of fun. After doing this, everyone went down to bathe in the Padma as it was noon. I also played soccer in the water. After lunch, we all rested for a while.

After the rest, everyone wandered around for a while like themselves. In the meantime, I went to the market by rickshaw. I walked around for a while and saw the products there.
One of the most interesting parts of the camping was a boat trip on the Padma in the afternoon. We rented 3 big boats for about $31.83 USD. Pabna district was on the other side of the river where we were. And there was a sandstorm right in the middle of the river. We sailed on the river Padma for a long time. Then I got on the sand and walked around for a while. As darkness fell, we hurried off. On the way back the view of the boat was amazing, as we were in the middle of the river and the orange sun was setting. Seeing that sunset, Arokichukshan wanted to stay in the boat on the river. But we had to follow the instructions of our teacher.

In the evening everyone played True or Dare. After that, the cultural program started. Some sang, some danced, some recited poems, some performed jokes, some performed laughter. At the end of the raffle draw. Then at night when everyone was going to eat and go to bed, the management team called everyone. We still don't understand why we were called. We still don't understand why we were called. After a while, I saw a lantern for each team. We filled the sky on an empty bank on the banks of the Padma. Yellow, orange, and red lanterns are flying in the middle of it. Not to mention the captivating beauty of the scene. That scene was amazing.

The next day, under the direction of the teacher, I had breakfast and started tidying up everyone's tents and other things. No one wanted to leave such a beautiful place and come to Dhaka. But what else to do, we all left for Dhaka by bus.
